A Day in the Life of a Fence Company
Have you ever wondered what happens at a fencing company over an average day?
- We’re up early, getting ready for the day. Our office opens at 8 am, but before that, we’re looking over the schedule, organizing our equipment and materials, and loading all our necessary supplies into the trucks.
- Our first meetings with our clients are all about assessment. Before we begin a project, we meet our customers in person, inspect their lots, familiarize ourselves with the terrain, and determine any logistical issues that may require special handling.
- Before a job gets underway, we handle pre-installation tasks. Some of our time is spent in hands-on tasks like clearing vegetation, marking property lines, setting up signage, and so on. At other points of the day, we file permits, work with Home Owners Associations, and enlist JULIE to clear the way in terms of utilities.
- Once the site is prepared, we can get started on the project. The work depends on the scope and details of the project, but we are typically at each job site between one and three days.
- A job isn’t done until it’s had our inspection and approval. We never install a fence without inspecting the materials carefully and regularly checking our work throughout the process, making sure it’s installed precisely. We take care to ensure that each of our fences is in complete compliance with zoning regulations, local codes, and safety standards. Once the fence is installed, we do the final inspection to make sure it meets our standards.
- Our day isn’t over until we’ve communicated with our clients. It’s important to us to maintain clear communication with our clients, keeping them in the loop through every step of the process. We’re not satisfied with the job until our clients are satisfied with the job.
